1. Information We Collect
When you create an account, we collect your name, email address, and optional profile photo. We collect information about your dogs (name, breed, age, size) that you voluntarily provide. Location data is collected only when you actively use the map feature and with your explicit permission.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use your information to provide and improve the Dog Play Date service, including showing nearby dogs and playdates, enabling messaging between users, and displaying your public profile to other users. We do not sell your data to third parties.
3. Location Data
You control your location visibility with four levels: exact, approximate, city-level, or hidden. Location data is used solely to show nearby playdates and dogs. We do not track your location in the background.
4. Data Security
We use industry-standard security measures including encryption in transit (TLS), row-level security on our database, and secure authentication via Supabase Auth. Photos are moderated before becoming publicly visible.
5. Your Rights
You can export or delete your data at any time from the app settings. You can block other users and report inappropriate content. Under GDPR, you have the right to access, rectify, and erase your personal data.
